What Happens in My Guts? Welcome to the What Happens in My Guts? workshop series. These workshops are designed to help you better understand, accept, and navigate your inner emotional world, using art as a tool for expression. Each session can be attended independently. One workshop offers an introduction to emotions, while the others focus on specific feelings or emotional experiences. This session focuses on fear. Ever felt your heart race, your stomach tighten, or your body freeze—like something’s wrong, even if you can’t see the danger? That might be fear. Fear is a natural response to threat: if there’s a tiger in the bush, your limbic system kicks in to keep you safe, telling you to run away, and fast! But what happens when the threat isn’t clear… or isn’t even there? When fear lingers, builds, or blocks us from doing what we’d actually like to do, like speaking in public or going for a walk alone? In this hands-on, experiential workshop, we’ll explore fear not as something to push away, but as a message from the body worth listening to. Through colors, shapes, and creative materials, we’ll tune into: How fear shows up in the body When it helps us and when it holds us back What it might be trying to protect us from Whether fear shows up as preoccupation, hesitation, or full-body freeze, this is a space to meet it with curiosity, not judgment. To gently explore it, express it, and (maybe) loosen its grip. ✨ Facilitated by visual artist Tasha Arlova and psychologist & therapist Giulio Ammannato , this workshop blends art and psychology to help you feel your emotions, without being swallowed by them . 🎨 No art skills needed. No need to share. Just come as you are. Leave with insight, simple tools and hopefully a little more space between you and your fear.
