What Happens in my Guts? A focus on Anger

Art & Psychology Workshops Amsterdam

Over

What Happens in My Guts? Welcome to the What Happens in My Guts? workshop series. These workshops are designed to help you better understand, accept, and navigate your inner emotional world, using art as a tool for expression. Each session can be attended independently. One workshop offers an introduction to emotions, while the others focus on specific feelings or emotional experiences. This session will focus on anger and effective ways to express and manage it. Anger is often a misunderstood emotion. It is not the same as violence, which is a disruptive and ineffective way of expressing anger. Instead, anger is a powerful and energetic force. Problems arise when we fail to recognize anger or struggle to express it in an assertive yet nonviolent way. At its core, anger protects us from pain and helps us break free from frustration. To harness its power, we need to accept, embrace, and express it effectively. In this workshop, you will: Learn simple and practical tools to identify, accept, and express anger. Explore anger through creative techniques such as drawing, sculpting, collage, and other expressive methods. Engage in a safe and constructive space to connect with your inner world. Whether you wish to dive deeply into the process or simply observe, this workshop offers a chance to strengthen your self-awareness and relationship with your emotions. The workshop will be facilitated by visual artist Tasha Arlova and psychologist & therapist Giulio Ammannato
